The solos Solid Gold & Jolie will be presented at the Stadsschowberg in Brugge February 24th 2012 and at TanzQuartier Wien March 17th & 18th 2012. Created with and for Congolese dancers Jolie Ngemi & Dinozord, an open workshop for professional and non-professional dancers will be held with Jolie & Dino on February 25th in Brugge.

As part of Scores N4 - Under Protest at Tanzquartier, Wien I'll be giving a talk December 8th, 2011 with visual artist Mohamed Bourouissa about our individual work and the possible links between, as well as about a future collaboration: a project that aims to use the public space as a space of experimentation and research.

Atomic 5.1 and a new solo will be presented during the WorkingTitle Festival December 15th & 16th, 2011 in Brussels. Part of an ongoing research into the use of light as an active choreographic element, I'll be in residency in The Pianofabriek in the fall and WorkSpace Brussels in the spring.

Developed during residencies in Kinshasa, at the Centre Wallonie Bruxelles in partnership with the KVS, at Seoul Art Space - Mullae in collaboration with Festival B:OM and in Brussels at the Kaaitheater & the Pianofabriek, Jolie is a solo created for and with Jolie Ngemi, a dancer and performer from Kinshasa.

A first showing will take place the 27th & 28th of March during the Festival B:OM in Seoul. Jolie will premiere during the Rencontres chorégraphiques internationales Seine-Saint Denis, on the 5th & 6th of May, followed by the Kaaistudios in Brussels the 9th & 10th of June and at the Platform Festival, Institute Francais de Kinshasa on July 21st.

Solid Gold will be presented at the 'Sivuaskel / Side Step Festival' in Helsinki on the 12th & 13th of February, 2011. Next to this I will be giving a theory workshop for the Masters of Choreography students at the University of Helsinki (TEAK) on the subject of Art & Politics, from the 8th - 11th. Taking place November 13th, 2010, Born in Africa is a one-day exhibition commissioned by Teatr Nowy (Warsaw) presenting works by contemporary African artists from the field of performance - music, dance and performance art. The works presented (video installations, short films, music videos and photographic documentation of performances), reflect the multiplicity of realities coexisting on the continent, while at the same time posing questions about identity and cultural autonomy in a globalized world.
